Richard Yu has been the subject of growing concerns and complaints from individuals who have engaged with his media buying courses and coaching services. The complaints mainly focus on the questionable value of his offerings, aggressive sales tactics, and perceived predatory behavior. Below are six user reviews that reflect these sentiments:

1. “just landed on brook also kinda weird for him to charge so much money and nothing goes as smooth like you said previously and by that 200days ago holy shit it’s nice to see you keep going like that such a dedication I mean you paid 6k so i understand i also lost 5k tried a couple ready to go dropshipping templates which got banned instantly on facebook also 3k on trading by get rich quick scheme of pumping crypto it’s hard out here man and also day by day going to the job acting like you aren’t on a losing streak let us know how your experience goes we all learn from our mistakes but let’s hope this is not one of them.”

2. “https://app.joaoabrantes.com/v2/preview/8eNGUnuq378BGIrHrazf?fbclid=IwAR001NprgzjygP_sX1q0gZFS3gs_KRImgZC1zYWH6cnZK1phfMmzxjamw5M_aem_EYKtpn80En1CZ-MtthOtDw&utm_medium=paid&utm_source=fb&utm_id=120210070274360752&utm_content=120210072995220752&utm_term=120210072970350752&utm_campaign=120210070274360752 It’s some course on media buying. In the video he explains how you can learn to become a media buyer in around 6 months then apply to online jobs that are looking to hire media buyers. He said he made $6k his first month he got hired by someone. I’m not sure if it’s a scam but wanted to ask what you guys think about this. Anyone else heard of this guy?”

3. “Bro I’m in the middle of a chargeback dispute to with this piece of filth. Absolute zero value in his ASCP. Your certification means nothing and the material provided is absolutely free to find online and implement. Services were not rendered in regards to in-depth training and ‘coaching services.’ His associates even are noted for scamming people, Sebastian in particular. I’ve been requested by my credit card provider to get a 2nd opinion letter to get a 2nd successful chargeback. Any suggestions? I’m open to talk outside of this venue as well to collectively brainstorm. I hope people would look more at these Reddit experiences and avoid this BS in the first place. Stay clear from Richard Yu and anything he markets or affiliates himself with.”

4. “About 2-3 years ago, I booked a free ‘consultation’ call just to see ‘some advice’—I was a naive 19-year-old, and was looking up to this successful guy for some advice. (Not the right place to go, I know). He obviously started selling his coaching. I said no. Tried to end the conversation politely. This is where things got bad. He gave me another offer. Very, very pushy. Almost bullying. I kept saying no, hoping this ends politely, but he just started implying I wasted his time. I could feel his aggression, so I decided to say one sentence, ‘bye,’ and end the call. So I did. And he spammed my phone with about 10-12 calls in the next 10 minutes. Spammed my IG with over 10 messages back to back saying threatening words. He tried calling me the next day too. But of course, I blocked him everywhere after. Such a red flag.”

5. “100% over-saturated. There are over 400 people on that platform. If this works, I will be stunned. That said, I have learned a ton. I wouldn’t know how to do 95% of the stuff I’ve learned. Is it actually valuable? We shall see. There is good support, any question I have had has been answered and has saved me time. However, there is still a ton of stuff you need to figure out on your own. Good info in the classes, however, they are absolutely average on setup and structure, and I get the feeling there is no intent on changing them. Just milking this cash cow for as long as possible. At $6G you should be walking people through this stuff like butter; the learning structure should not be as scattered. I would say he is over-charging for this based on how the structure and information are disseminated. I think people (myself included) just want another option to build a business, but he is clearly getting people in the door. Is it going to work? I don’t know. I am giving it everything I can. If it works I would scream this guy’s name on the rooftops as if he were the messiah who saved me from hell. But I do know it seems like there are more people joining the group versus people making sales on their websites based on the info I can gather. That is probably not a great sign. And I mean, let’s be honest, if 400 people are running the same thing, with the same ads in the same way…I mean, how many high-ticket niches are there? At some point, it has to get cannibalized.”

6. “Richard Yu scam Guys, I messed up big time. I fell for the predatory tactics of this scammer and his ‘team’ on Monday. I am at a little bit of a low point in my life, so having seen all his ads everywhere, I figured I should try. Big fucking mistake on my part. I already reported him to the FTC and just got off the phone with my bank to try and get the money I sent like a dumbass back. I’m just worried cause I signed a whole fucking contract stating that I will send the rest of the money by Friday. If it’s a fraudulent contract, am I still liable to send it?”

These reviews reflect a wide range of negative experiences, warning others to be cautious when dealing with Richard Yu’s services.
