Valorant’s lore has expanded significantly. Here we’ll take a look at what’s going on in the world of Valorant, the overall story and major events from the beginning to the present. Each agent has their own story, but there’s a focus on the more important agents who play a bigger role in the overall narrative of Valorant.

The First Light: The Start of Valorant’s Story and Agents

The reason the game Valorant exists is an in-game event called The First Light. Valorant is set in our real world, and the First Light occurred around 2039. This event created a familiar element: the Radian Knights. Some people exposed to the Radian Knights gained superpowers, and that’s why our agents have abilities!

But not all agents are equally powerful. You may notice this in the case of Killjoy, whose abilities have no effect at all. The Radian Knights are too powerful for the world, so some exaggerate their powers (like Reyna), while others remain modest. For this reason, two powerful organizations were created to make the most of the Radian Knights and humans with superpowers: the Kingdom and the Valorant Protocol.

VALORANT Protocol and Kingdom: Valorant’s Story Saviors

Kingdom Corporation is an energy company founded shortly after the First Light event. Over time, Kingdom discovered how to use Radianite to their advantage to strengthen their civilization. In addition, they used Radianite to create weapons, devices, and all kinds of other technological things. Fearing rogue agents with psychic powers, they formed a secret sub-organization called the VALORANT Protocol, with Brimstone and Viper as leaders.

Many people had grudges against Kingdom, and the VALORANT Protocol hunted them down. They helped to suppress rogue agents like Phoenix, but sometimes they recruited them into the Protocol, which grew to more than 19 agents. The purpose of these agents is to maintain peace in the world, but no one expected what would happen next…

In 2049, 10 years after First Light, Jet shows up in Venice and plants some kind of bomb that we all know about (Spike). Phoenix is ​​sent to solve the problem and we get to see the fight in the first Duelist movie!It doesn’t end well, Spike flies off and we get the Venice Incident where a large part of the city blows up.

This land may look familiar because it is an Ascent map. After this incident, everyone realized the power of Radianite, Kingdom’s stocks plummeted, and everyone was looking for Jet. But what they didn’t know was that the incident in Venice was not Jet’s fault, but that they thought…

Valorant DUALITY Animation: Mirror World and Mirror Agents

One day after the rise of Ascent, we deal with another problem to solve the “Bind” card that called the agent back. The nail was hammered, but no one wanted a new incident to happen in Venice. Killjoy released the nail while Phoenix discovered the enemy. When Phoenix chased him, he didn’t expect to see an exact reflection of himself.

This was the biggest Valorant lore reveal to date. Spike is designed to steal Radianite, meaning that the attacker is a mirror agent and the defender is an original agent. We know this through social media and small details scattered throughout the game. The mirror agent has exhausted Radianite resources and is trying to use Spike to steal Radianite from the original world. This is how we find out that Jet from the Ascend incident is her mirror image counterpart.

After the fight, Phoenix is ​​unaware of what is going on, but Viper has already been revealed. There are many people who still don’t know about the mirror world. We’ve basically limited ourselves to the main events, but now we’ll take a look at some agents who have a big connection to the story of Valorant.

Chamber: Valorant’s Story Peacebreaker

Chamber was revealed, it left everyone confused. While all the agents fight against their own reflections, Chamber works alongside his own reflection. But why is Chamber important to the story of Valorant? Well, the VALORANT Protocol was looking for a way to reach this mirror world. During this mission, Brimstone and Viper fell into a trap. Chamber was the one who rescued them from this trap by participating in the VALORANT Protocol.

Chamber assisted the VALORANT Protocol and even paved the way to the Mirror World, but it is not as innocent as it seems. The Fracture Map was created in a research facility called the Everett Linde Research Facility. The purpose of this facility was to create an infinite source of Radianite to aid the Mirror World and the Original World. Chamber and his mirror counterpart destroyed them. Why? I don’t know, but this process has cost the lives of many scientists and destroyed a cause that could have benefited the common good and peace in the world.

Valorant Pearl Story: First Map Set in Mirror Earth [Theories]

We have already received teasers leading to Pearl through Ruben Pontes and Oran Makeneff. Read on for more details. In short, they are scientists from Fracture, they survived the trials of the Chamber and traveled to Mirror Earth. Our agents also attempted this and succeeded, finding themselves in an underwater geodome. But why are they living like this and not on the water?

The truth couldn’t be more cruel. Mirror Earth’s agents stole radianite from Earth not for their own benefit, but to survive, as their underwater dome is powered by radianite. Their Earth was affected by devastating climate change, so they decided to live underwater, stealing radianite supplied by us.

This is the main story of Pearl, but there are still some interesting key points that need to be mentioned. First of all, Mirror Earth’s Valorant agents are known as Legion. And they are not hidden from the world, but celebrated as celebrities with their own comics and characters.

Next, the Kingdom Corporation on Mirror Earth is known as Kingdom Industries. They work closely with another company called Atlas. Atlas has a civilian militia on standby, which can be seen in the movie above. Some speculate that they may have actually built the first teleporter to other worlds.

We know this thanks to the museum at Pearl’s B-Site, which explains the entire timeline of events on Mirror Earth. It shows us the story from the first light to Atlas creating the portal and the devastating climate change they endured.

Another thing to note is the story of Ruben Pontes and Oran Makeneff. Currently, they are on the run on Mirror Earth and you can even find Ruben Pontes’ house in Pearl blocked off with police tape. What’s interesting is that Oran Makeneff is listed as an “illegal immigrant” on his wanted poster.
